Colour Standards for the US Naval Stores
Rosin Scale
The colour standards specified in ASTM D509
for measuring the US Naval Stores Rosin scale are in the form
of coloured glasses mounted in metal cubes for direct
comparison with the rosin samples.
Tintometer Ltd has discontinued supply of
these rosin cubes and now supplies graded glasses for the US
Naval Stores Rosin scale in metal holders, similar to
conformance filters, as listed below. These
modified colour standards should appear in the next method
revision of ASTM D509.
