Pittcon 2008 - 3rd - 6th March
The festival city of New Orleans proved to be the ideal location
for Pittcon
2008. Unique, interesting and alive with tradition are just some
of the
words that have been used to describe the 'Big Easy' and
appropriate
to
apply to this years Pittcon conference and exhibition. The
Tintometer booth
was very busy throughout the 4 days with many visitors not only
from the
United States but from as far a field as China, Europe and
Australia. Our
latest products and software developments were exhibited and
many
interesting projects were discussed with distributors and
end-users.
During the exhibition we were joined by, Star Distributor, DC Glass who
received a welcome order from the US Army for 27 PFX195
instruments. This is
a project DC have been working on for several months and CEO
Doug Sissons
Sales Director Jeff Weller finally closed the deal and placed
the order with
Tintometer during Pittcon.
Our thanks go out to all those that participated and attended
Pittcon 2008. I think we can safely say it was a resounding
success.
Arablab 2008 - 10th - 13th February
We are pleased to say that Arablab 2008 was a very productive show. It was a pleasure to meet a number of our local distributors and customers as local sales are strong and we are confident that they will continue to exceed the continued fast development in the region. Requirements for absolute, accurate readings of colour are increasing as the local market continues to develop. We are delighted to have appointed Venktron as our exclusive distributor for colour products in the United Arab Emirates. Jay Bhosale and his team have excellent product knowledge and we are confident that they will continue to do an excellent job.
Gulf Coast Conference 2007 - 16th - 18th October - WHAT A TERRIFIC MEETING!
DC Scientific presented a range of colour measurement products on behalf of The Tintometer Ltd. at the Gulf Coast Conference from 16th to 18th October. Professionals from the petrochemical, environmental and hygiene industries attended to find out about the latest scientific developments in their various fields. The best-selling instruments from our popular transmittance measurement ranges were on display. This was one of the best GCC meetings in years thanks to the technical program and attendance by so many delegates The Gulf Coast Conference is a non-profit organisation oriented toward the education and advancement of knowledge of Chemical Analysis Technology associated with the Petrochemical, Refining, and Environmental fields. The next Conference will take place from 14th to the 15th October 2008. - See you there.
CIA Enviromex - 27th - 30th November – Strong Lovibond® Presence
The dynamic economy in the region is reflected in strong interest in the whole range of Lovibond® products. Of special interest for attendees was the On-Color software for colour match prediction due to the growing demand for improved quality control in industry. End-users and distributors from all over Asia visited to discuss applications, service and future plans for our colour measurement range. Many distributors were also exhibiting so Lovibond® had a very strong presence throughout the exhibition and conference.
Oils & Fats - Munich - 20th - 22nd November – Focus on Renewables
Whether they are used as food, fuels or raw materials, oils and fats made from renewable resources are indispensable. As a leading manufacturer of instruments for the colour measurement of such oils, The Tintometer Ltd. attended the Oils & Fats exhibition in Munich exhibiting the full range of instruments and ISO 17025 liquid reference standards. Matt Russell, Sales Manager – Europe and Barry Coombes, Technical Sales Coordinator reported strong interest in Lovibond® products, resulting in significant sales to major corporations.
Business Partner Product Seminar - 31st October - 2nd November – Valuable Information Provided
Melaka in Malaysia was the setting for the Business Partner Product Seminar conducted by The Tintometer Ltd. distributor, ITS Interscience. Over 80 sub-distributors attended from all over Malaysia to listen to presentations from many Interscience principles. Marke Reid, General Manager – Colour gave a presentation on the basics of colour science, as well as technical information on the product range. The whole event was hailed as a great success and many attendees were able to gain valuable information to help them to sell and service Lovibond® products.
BCEIA - 18th - 22nd October – Fantastic Turn Out
The Tintometer Ltd.’s distributor in China, Beijing ENOVI, had a whole booth dedicated to Lovibond® colour measurement products at the Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis held from the 18th to the 22nd October. Thousands of visitors attended from all over China to this the 12th BCEIA event approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, China and sponsored by the Chinese Association for Instrumental Analysis (CAIA). Needless to say many of those visitors headed for the Lovibond® stand to see the latest developments in transmittance and reflectance colour measurement and we are proud to say the exhibition was a great success.
