The new, hand-held visual comparator from Lovibond introduces a new method based on the formation of copper ions. In swimming pool water, the ideal measurement should lie between approx. 0.5 and 0.7 mg/l (in Germany, the limit for drinking water is 2.0 mg/l). The new “Pooltester” has a low copper range with precision measurement of values from 0.1 to 1.0 mg/l and also a range of 0.5 to 5.0 mg/l which is equivalent to that of the Lovibond^® photometer. In addition to providing information on the concentration of copper, it is also possible to measure pH between 6.8 and 8.2.
