  • Extensive experience
The Tintometer Ltd was established in 1885 by Joseph Lovibond, a Salisbury brewer who developed the Lovibond® Colour Scale. Since those early days the Lovibond® brand has become the hallmark for colour measurement in processing industries, recognised by major international standardising bodies, including the AOCS, ISO and ASTM, who quote our instruments in their specifications for colour measurement. It is this unique experience that allows Tintometer Ltd to guarantee a reliable and accurate colour measuring service.
  • High level of skill
The success of The Colour Laboratory lies in the experienced colorimetry technicians who use our master instruments to obtain the colour data required.
  • Quality Assured
All samples are tested under the control of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System. In addition, Tintometer Ltd has been awarded UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accreditation as a calibration laboratory for spectral response and CIE measurements. As a result, we can supply colour measurement data that are directly traceable to national standards.
