Lead
Lead is used in batteries, solder, pigments and alloys. It was also used in petrol until recently as an anti-knock agent in the form of tetramethyl lead. Lead may be present in water samples taken at the tap if lead pipes form part of the distribution system. The current EC limit value is 0.01 mg/L.
