Update for the photometer firmware .072
The new firmware .072 for the photometers of the MD 6x0 and PM 6x0 series is available. This provides more methods and options for users in different applications such as pool water, drinking water and industrial water and additional parameters in water analysis can now be controlled.
The new methods are
- Method 63 Monochloramine in the presence of ammonia
Application: Disinfection
Instrument: MD 6x0
Monochloramine is formed during chlorination when it reacts with nitrogenous compounds. It acts as a disinfectant and is popular in many parts of the world.
- Method 64 free chlorine & monochloramine
Application: Disinfection
Instrument: MD 6x0, PM 620, PM 630
Monochloramine is formed during chlorination when it reacts with nitrogenous compounds. It acts as a disinfectant and is popular in many parts of the world.
- Method 161 for CyA HR
Application: Pool water
Instrument: MD 6x0, PM 600, PM 620, PM 630
CyA is an important parameter in pool water control. With the new method, a measurement in the extended range of 10-200 mg/l is possible.
- Method 271 for Nitrite VHR
Application: Industrial water
Instrument: MD 6x0
Nitrite is a reducing agent that prevents corrosion in cooling water systems. The new method offers a wide measuring range of up to 2,500 mg/l according to the requirements of industrial water control.
- Method 301 for ozone
Application: Drinking water & pool water
Instrument: MD 6x0
Ozone is a strong oxidant and is used as an alternative disinfectant instead of chlorine. Ozone can also eliminate odours, decolourise and control algae in water systems. The new method 301 is similar to method 300, but powder packs are used instead of tablets for measurement.
- Method 315 for phenol (hydroxybenzene)
Application: raw and wastewater
Instrument: MD 6x0
Phenol belongs to the group of organic chemicals containing cresols, xylenols and catechols. It occurs in water during the formation of chlorophenols, which have an intense odour and taste. With this method, phenols can be determined using tablet reagents.
- Method 389 for tannin
Application: Boiler water
Instrument: MD 6x0
Tannin is added to the boiler water to prevent scaling and corrosion. With this method, the tannin content can be monitored by using our liquid reagents.
