DPD No.4 wird als Indikator für die Poolhygiene eingesetzt. Im Rahmen der DPD-Methode wird damit der Gesamtchlorgehalt bestimmt. Die Tablette wird in der Wasserprobe aufgelöst. Dann erfolgt sofort die Messung. DPD No.4 kann auch für die Bestimmung von Ozon verwendet werden.
