Isothiazolinone has a broad spectrum of efficacy against microbiological growth in industrial process water, especially in cooling water. It is already effective at very low concentrations. To ensure effectiveness, regular checks of the isothiazolinone concentration are recommended - to avoid costs and possible damage to the material.

Biocide with versatile effect
Isothiazolinone is a biocide for the control of bacteria, fungi and algae, especially in industrial water and cooling water. It works by separating the proteins even at low doses. This inhibits microbial growth and kills the unwanted "inhabitants". Isothiazolinone has good degradability and no side effects. It is safe to use and has good stabilisation properties. Its use is inexpensive. -

The test works with the colourimetric method: If isothiazolinone is present in the water, the sample turns blue after the addition of certain reagents.
