As a strong oxidant used for disinfecting water systems and especially for combating legionella or infestation with biofilm, the use of hydrogen peroxide should be carefully controlled. This is because the biocide breaks down into its components very quickly and loses its disinfection effect accordingly. Properly dosed, it prevents the spread of infections including Legionella. If the wrong dosage is used, disinfection can generally fail and material damage is possible. This Hydrogen Peroxide Test Kit has been designed to measure low and high levels of hydrogen peroxide.

Has a disinfecting effect on water pipes as a strong oxidant and is a popular biocide for rapid disinfection. Especially biofilm is removed effectively. Hydrogen peroxide (H202) kills viruses, bacteria, parasites, fungi and microbes through active oxygen.

It breaks down into its original components, water and oxygen, without leaving any residues. However, this can also cause a rapid decrease in concentration & effectiveness.

Hydrogen peroxide is also effective against limescale and corrosion. Little or no pollutants remain.
